Steps Pre-School is registered with, and inspected by, Ofsted, in accordance with the 1989 Children Act, so that we can be sure our standards of education and care are high. We are supported by St Stephen’s Church PCC and a dedicated Resource Support Group made up of staff and members of St. Stephen’s Church. We also benefit from having two parent representatives.
We’re a Christian organisation, so all our work at Steps has a Christian ethos. We believe each child is an individual, precious and valued by God, and we always want to ensure that belief is reflected in our care. Of course, we always ensure we respect the faiths of any child who is at Steps Pre School.
Term Dates
Sessions
Children are welcome to attend either morning or afternoon sessions or to stay all day. Children only doing one session per day can opt to include an additional hour at lunchtime if they choose, for an additional cost of £6.50. Session times and costs are shown to the right.
All children are eligible for Early Years Education funding for up to 15 hours (5 sessions) per week from the term after their third birthday. Any additional hours and all lunch time hours will be invoiced termly. We are also registered for Free for Two funding for eligible two year olds - please get in contact if you would like to know more about this.
